The Crafter’s Market Network

Purpose

The Crafter’s Market Network, operated by Hearthstone Enterprises, LLC (“the Network”), is committed to offering shoppers a diverse, high-quality marketplace while supporting small businesses, makers, artists, specialty retailers, and entrepreneurs.

This Product Eligibility Policy establishes the types of products generally permitted at events operated under The Crafter’s Market Network brand. Individual markets may adopt additional requirements based on event themes, venue restrictions, local regulations, or applicable laws.

Submission of a vendor application does not guarantee approval of every product or product category. The Network reserves the right to approve, deny, limit, or request changes to any product offerings to maintain marketplace quality, balance, and compliance with event standards.


Generally Accepted Products

The following product categories are commonly accepted, subject to organizer approval and event-specific requirements.

Handmade & Artisan Goods

Examples include:

  • Handmade crafts
  • Jewelry
  • Pottery and ceramics
  • Woodworking
  • Metalwork
  • Glass art
  • Fiber arts
  • Sewing and quilting
  • Crochet and knitting
  • Leather goods
  • Candles
  • Soap and bath products
  • Home décor
  • Floral creations
  • Original artwork
  • Handmade stationery
  • Personalized gifts

Boutique & Small Business Products

Examples include:

  • Boutique clothing
  • Fashion accessories
  • Specialty gifts
  • Home accents
  • Seasonal décor
  • Children’s apparel
  • Pet products
  • Educational products
  • Books written by the vendor
  • Locally produced merchandise

Cottage Food & Specialty Foods

Where permitted by applicable law:

  • Baked goods
  • Jams and jellies
  • Honey
  • Coffee
  • Tea
  • Candy
  • Spices
  • Sauces
  • Specialty mixes
  • Freeze-dried treats
  • Other approved food products

Food vendors are solely responsible for complying with all applicable food safety laws, licensing requirements, labeling regulations, permits, inspections, and health department requirements.


Farm & Agricultural Products

Examples include:

  • Fresh produce
  • Eggs
  • Flowers
  • Plants
  • Herbs
  • Nursery items
  • Maple syrup
  • Locally grown agricultural products

Availability of these categories may vary by event.


Specialty Retail

Certain events may accept carefully selected retail businesses whose products complement the event.

Approval may be based upon:

  • Product quality
  • Marketplace balance
  • Event theme
  • Customer interest
  • Overall product mix

Direct Sales & Independent Consultants

Some events may accept a limited number of direct sales or independent consultants.

Acceptance depends on:

  • Available booth space
  • Product category
  • Event goals
  • Existing vendor mix
  • Overall marketplace balance

The Network reserves the right to limit duplicate companies or exclude direct sales participation from specific events.


Products Requiring Additional Approval

Certain products require additional review before acceptance, including but not limited to:

  • CBD products (where legally permitted)
  • Alcohol-related merchandise
  • Adult-oriented merchandise
  • Products intended primarily for mature audiences
  • Live animals
  • Demonstrations involving heat, fire, or open flames
  • High-value collectibles
  • Replica or novelty weapons
  • Products requiring additional permits or licenses

Approval may also depend upon venue policies, insurance requirements, or local regulations.


Prohibited Products

The following products are generally prohibited at all Network events unless specifically authorized by the Network and permitted by law:

  • Counterfeit merchandise
  • Copyright or trademark-infringing products
  • Illegal drugs or controlled substances
  • Drug paraphernalia prohibited by law
  • Illegal weapons
  • Explosives or fireworks
  • Hazardous chemicals
  • Tobacco or nicotine products where prohibited
  • Products promoting hate, discrimination, or violence
  • Pornographic or obscene materials
  • Stolen property
  • Recalled or unsafe products
  • Any item prohibited by federal, state, or local law

Additional restrictions may apply based upon venue policies or event-specific requirements.


Product Representation

Vendors are expected to accurately represent all products offered for sale.

Vendors may not:

  • Misrepresent handmade or handcrafted products.
  • Sell products that differ substantially from those approved during the application process.
  • Use misleading descriptions, labeling, or advertising.
  • Infringe upon another person’s intellectual property rights.

If organizers determine that products differ significantly from the approved application, vendors may be required to immediately remove those products from sale or may be subject to additional action under the Vendor Agreement.


Product Changes

After approval, vendors wishing to add new products or product categories should notify the Network before the event.

Approval of one product category does not automatically authorize the sale of additional categories.

The Network reserves the right to approve or deny requested changes.


Duplicate Products

To provide shoppers with a diverse marketplace, the Network may limit the number of vendors offering substantially similar products.

Selection decisions may consider:

  • Product uniqueness
  • Product quality
  • Previous participation
  • Event size
  • Marketplace balance
  • Customer demand
  • Overall event goals

These decisions are made solely by the Network and are final.


Vendor Compliance

Vendors are solely responsible for ensuring that all products comply with applicable:

  • Federal laws
  • State laws
  • Local ordinances
  • Licensing requirements
  • Health regulations
  • Labeling requirements
  • Consumer protection laws
  • Product safety standards

The Network does not inspect, certify, or guarantee vendor compliance and reserves the right to require removal of any product believed to violate applicable laws, venue requirements, or Network policies.


Final Approval

The Network reserves the right to make final decisions regarding product eligibility.

Approval may be denied, limited, suspended, or revoked if products:

  • Conflict with event goals.
  • Violate Network policies.
  • Create safety concerns.
  • Violate applicable laws.
  • Differ substantially from the approved application.
  • Are deemed unsuitable for the venue, event, or intended audience.

Operational decisions regarding product approval, vendor selection, marketplace balance, and policy interpretation are made solely by the Network and are final.
